Requires an assessment (initial consult). Each mediation session is 2 hours with a break at the mid-point. Complex topics are best served with 2-3 sessions. Transform Belonging will work with you to determine your needs.
Conflict coaching may be needed, for each person, to be ready to come to mediation with the tools needed to support the success of the process.

Specifically looks to uproot the cause of harm and relational disruption. Requires deep analysis and potentially additional education in a one-to-one setting to address differences in power and identities. Seeks to transform the relationship into a new form. Attends to the person who caused harm with the necessary care to make it possible for them to make different future choices. May result in agreements. Primary goal is mutual healing and accountability.

Transform Belonging is available to support, or help build community circles. If you already have a circle practice Transform Belonging can help facilitate visioning sessions, provide new and additional tools, or help create or revise community agreements.
Requires an assessment (initial consult). Each circle session is a minimum of 2 hours with a break at the mid-point. Complex topics are best served with a half-day or full-day session and may require multiple service dates. Transform Belonging will work with you to determine your needs.
Transform Belonging does not support conflict/harm circles without doing initial community building circles first. If two or more people in a community are experiencing conflict and or have named harm please start with a mediation, restorative justice, or transformative justice process for those individuals first. One-on-one conflict coaching sessions may be needed to support the success of the process. Transform Belonging will create a plan for a reintegration into community circle.
Next, the community works together to co-create capacity building of the group for community building. Once the community is successfully able to support their own circle practice Transform Belonging no longer serves as circle keeper. Communities can reach back out for help if they are having difficulty resolving a future conflict with the new tools. The idea is for communities to become self-sustaining, and to be able to ask for help if they get stuck in the future.
